The  University of Surrey would like members of the Farnborough U3A  to know about  a number of exciting music and performance opportunities available to the local community at the University of Surrey.

Community Orchestra

A new initiative launching in October which offers members of the local community the opportunity to join a talented Orchestra. Directed by Russell Keable, internationally recognised for his world-class performances with non-professional orchestras.

The Orchestra will rehearse on Monday evenings (subject to review) throughout the year to give a series of concerts.

We will be holding an open audition day on Sunday 1st October and have just launched a Facebook page which will provide further updates  https://www.facebook.com/UoSCommunityOrchestra/

University Choir

A lively and fun choir open to members of the local community. A basic level of sight reading, an ability to hold a tune and enthusiasm is all we ask for! No audition is required.

The Choir rehearse every Wednesday from 6pm-8- and perform 2-3 times a year.

Lunchtime Recitals

We all offer the local community the opportunity to attend Lunchtime Recitals, weekly performances featuring student performers playing in a wide range of styles.

Lunchtime recitals are free to attend and take place in term-time. They will commence again in the Autumn.
